Police are looking for an armed man believed to be behind three robberies.
The robberies have happened near Prairie Shores Apartments and South Commons condos.
The person was not hurt, but money and a cellphone were taken.
Police issued an alert Thursday after a string of robberies the past week in Montclare and Avondale.
Two stores were robbed within a week, according to police.
Both the man and the woman had a gun put to their heads while walking home from a bar early Sunday.
The robbery was one of two reported near the campus Wednesday afternoon by U. of C. police.
The driver's wallet and keys were stolen, but he was left unharmed.
U. of C. police said after they reviewed security camera footage, the man admitted faking the report.
The girl was not hurt and was able to get away from the man who allegedly stole her cellphone.
The robbery happened just before 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said there is no known connection between the two crimes, but continue to investigate.
