HYDE PARK — A University of Chicago student handed over his cellphone and wallet during a Thursday evening robbery, according to university police.
At 6:45 p.m. the student was walking in the 5400 block of Ingleside Avenue when two people came up from behind, implied they had a gun and demanded the student’s valuables, according to university police.
The two people took the cellphone and wallet and then ran north up an alley.
The student was not injured.
