James Jones, 18, is accused of fatally shooting another 18-year-old, Damarcus Boswell, on June 19.

Tony Purnell was beaten by a cellmate in June, and died July 23, authorities said.

Darren Foggey, of the 6700 block of South Artesian Avenue, was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Anthony Edwards, 39, was shot multiple times early Thursday in the 11600 block of South Michigan.

Demond Parnell was found shot Monday night in the 5200 block of North Kenmore Avenue, police said.

Sam Aguilar, 33, was shot in the 6300 block of South Francisco Avenue Tuesday, authorities said.

The fatal shootings occurred in Edgewater and Chicago Lawn.

A judge Saturday ordered an alleged Little Village gang member held without bail in the April death.

Shamiya Adams was an "active member" at the First Baptist Congregational Church, its pastor said Sunday.

Eight people have been shot citywide since Sunday morning, police said.

A 30-year-old man was also injured in the shooting early Sunday morning.

Keith Martin is believed to be armed and dangerous, and is wanted for killing Addarius Thompson.

A race Monday will aid Uriel Lara, who is in critical condition after he and son Adam Lara were shot.
