CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Wednesday night in Chicago Lawn.
Darren Foggey was in a first-floor bedroom in the 6700 block of South Artesian Avenue when a bullet came through the window and struck him in the neck around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday. He was unresponsive when police arrived at the home, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Foggey was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
