Lawndale Nutall, 56, was shot dead in the 1500 block of West 72nd Street early Monday, authorities said.

One man was killed and five others were injured in shootings overnight, police said.

Additional gang crime units are patrolling the Far North Side after shootings Thursday and Saturday.

The fatal shooting took place in the 1300 block of West Devon Avenue.

Damien Bryant was killed in the drive-by shooting Friday night.

A woman was also shot in her chest in the domestic incident, police said.

The father of a woman who was fatally shot on the Dan Ryan Wednesday said his son was murdered in 2013.

Bruce Wright, 23, was fatally shot Tuesday night in West Humboldt Park, officials said.

Marcel Pearson, 17, of Morgan Park, was fatally shot in Brainerd Tuesday night, police said.

Debra Escobedo, 49, died Monday after a shooter as young as 12 fired into a group outside a bar.

Jaynisha Scheffer, 19, was shot and killed Monday night on a normally quiet block in the neighborhood.

Cassius White died after a shooting  in the 9600 block of South Sangamon Street.

Since Sunday afternoon, six people have been killed and 25 wounded in shootings across the city.

The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of East 81st Street.

Superintendent Garry McCarthy addressed the weekend violence Monday morning.
