CHICAGO — Two men are dead and four others were shot across the city overnight.
One homicide occurred around 9:55 p.m. Monday when a man was found fatally shot in Edgewater.
Early Tuesday morning, a West Town man was shot dead in a Chicago Lawn drive-by.
In other violence:
• Around 9:40 p.m., a 15-year-old boy was shot in the 5700 block of South Peoria Street in Englewood. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition after being struck in his leg in what was possibly a gang-related shooting, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.
• Around 9:40 p.m. Monday, a 20-year-old man was shot in his stomach and back by someone in a gray vehicle in the 300 block of East 42nd Street in Grand Boulevard. The man fled the scene but was taken to Provident Hospital then transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Gaines said.
• Around 7:30 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot by someone in a dark vehicle while he stood in the 2400 block of West 21st St. in Little Village. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition after being shot in his leg. The teen is a documented gang member, Gaines said
• A 15-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks while walking with a group in the 6100 block of South Indiana Avenue in Washington Park about 6:15 p.m.. The group walked past another group, words were exchanged then the boy was shot. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition, Gaines said.
