The carjacking happened in the 400 block of West Division Street, police said.

Police are searching for the three boys who allegedly stole a black Accura SUV after punching the owner.

The woman, 24, was able to escape from the trunk when the carjacker hit a tree, police said.

"Quit trying to kick me, you white b----," the attacker said to 34-year-old Nicole Cisternino.

Police said there is no known connection between the two crimes, but continue to investigate.

The man whose car was stolen was left uninjured.

Police surrounded the home of an 18-year-old man who carjacked a state trooper Saturday, police said.

State police shot at the car after it tried to run over a trooper Saturday evening, police said.

The driver had just stopped to pick up two passengers when he was carjacked at gunpoint, police said.

Dimitrious Johnson, 38, will face one charge of vehicular hijacking and two charges of battery.
