CHICAGO — A 52-year-old man was robbed of his car at gunpoint on the Near North Side early Thursday, police said.

At 3:20 a.m., the man was in the 400 block of West Division Street when a man with a gun got out of a dark-colored SUV and forced the victim to get out of his car, police said.

The carjacker got into the man's car and drove it west on Division while someone in the SUV he'd gotten out of followed, police said.

The car was later found with no one inside in an alley in the 5000 block of West Adams Street, police said. No one was in custody.
