A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in East Garfield Park early Wednesday, police said.

The 31-year-old man refused medical attention after the shooting, police said.

The 36-year-old man is in fair condition at Stroger Hospital after the shooting, police said.

Three people were wounded in shootings since Sunday afternoon and a 23-year-old man was stabbed.

Since Friday night, five people have been shot and 31 have been wounded in violence, police said.
