
CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting in East Garfield Park Sunday afternoon, police said. In total, three people have been killed and 18 people have been wounded since Friday morning.
Around 12:50 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2800 block of West Polk Street and found a man on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his back, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Sedevic said.
