CHICAGO — A man was wounded while driving in Little Village late Friday, police said.

Around 11:55 p.m., a 27-year-old man was driving northbound in the 2700 block of South Avers Avenue when a man walked toward his vehicle and fired shots, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his hand and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Cooper said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
