CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was killed in South Austin Friday night after a drive-by shooting, which wounded three others, police said.

The group was standing in the 5200 block of West Quincy Street about 7:15 p.m. when a dark-colored car drove by and someone inside opened fire, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

Police found the 32-year-old man unresponsive with gun shot wounds in his head, Greer said. Identified as Damien Bryant, the man was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:13 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A man whose age is unknown was struck in his arm and refused medical attention. A 30-year-old woman was shot multiple times in her body. She was initially transported to Loretto Hospital, but was later transported to Stroger Hospital where she is in stable condition, Greer said. A 41-year-old man took himself to South Suburban Hospital where he is in stable condition after being shot in his left hand, Greer said.
