Argument Leads to Fatal Shooting in Chicago Lawn

CHICAGO — Police say a domestic incident turned fatal in Chicago Lawn Saturday morning.

An argument involving three people - a 27-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and her 47-year-old boyfriend - ensued in an apartment in the 6200 block of South Rockwell Avenue about 1:45 a.m.

Police said the 47-year-old man left the apartment after the argument a returned with a handgun. He shot the other man, fatally striking him in the chest, and wounded the woman in her chest.

Authorities identified the dead man as Adarrius Thompson, of the same block, and said he died on the scene.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Police said the shooting may have been gang related. No one is in custody.
