Nine homes were hit in September by a group in hoodies toting backpacks, police told.

The most recent burglary happened Friday.

There have been five burglaries in the area just since mid-October, police said.

Police said there were five burglaries between Sept. 17 and Wednesday in Hyde Park.

All four burglaries occurred within about one block of one another, police said.

Police said two high-end clothing retailers on Damen Avenue were broken into since late November.

At least six homes in Lincoln Park and Old Town have been burglarized in the past week, police said.

Police have issued an alert to the Bucktown area after a string of burglaries during the month of March.
