String of Bucktown Home Burglaries Prompt Police Alert

BUCKTOWN — Police have issued an alert to the Bucktown area after a string of burglaries during the month of March.

The notice warns residents in the Shakespeare District’s Beat 1432 of a “recent increase in residential burglaries" between March 12-14, when three homes were hit by an unknown burglars.

The break-ins happened at the following times and locations:

  • 2000 block of W. Dickens on March 12 between 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • 2000 block of N. Leavitt on March 12 at 5 p.m.
  • 2000 block of N. Leavitt on March 14 at 2 p.m.
