After reviewing security footage, U. of C. police said Thursday the armed robbery never happened.

The teen robbed three people at gunpoint Sunday in the 100 block of South Western Avenue, police said.

The woman dressed in all white pulled the gun after asking for $8 and directions to a shelter.

Two men allegedly forced a person to take out $200 and before hitting him or her with a gun.

The robber shoved the woman before grabbing her cellphone, but a good Samaritan stepped in to help.

Three people took the students' cellphones before running away.

Two men stole a 62-year-old's wallet then shot him in his knee, police said.

Keenan T. Knight was charged with a class X felony, according to an email from Ald. Matt O'Shea.

A police chase ended with a man and a woman arrested.

The robber took out a stun gun and tried to steal a woman's cellphone Friday, the police alert said.

An off-duty sheriff's officer was robbed in the 1900 block of West Belmont Avenue, police said.

Charges are pending against a 21-year-old man who robbed a man on a CTA bus, police said.

The thief took wallets, purses and cellphones during the robberies, police said.
