National Night Out

Set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, the all ages event also offers food, prizes and more revelry.

The annual community-driven events occur at four locations across Rogers Park, West Ridge and Edgewater.

The event will bring Near West Side families together in a stand against violence. 

There will be barbecue and giveaways at the National Night Out event from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday.

National Night Out will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 4921 N. Marine Dr.

Police and neighbors meet up for games, peace marches and other events in the neighborhood.   

The family-friendly event at Norwood Park, 5801 N. Natoma Ave., takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials talked about recent shootings in the 5200 block of North Kenmore Avenue at National Night Out.
