The man was standing outside on the 4200 block of South State Street in Grand Boulevard when a car drove by and someone fired shots. He is in critical condition, Pacheco said.

• Police found a man in McKinley Park with a gunshot wound in his chest around 4:20 a.m., said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

• At about 2 a.m., two people were standing with a group on the 5500 block of South Hermitage Avenue in West Englewood when they heard gunshots and felt pain, Zala said.

Both were taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where they're now in stable condition with gunshot wounds in their legs, Zala said.

Police could not immediately provide their ages or genders.

• About a half-hour earlier, a 29-year-old man was shot in Austin, Zala said.

The man was standing on the 5100 block of West Division Street, Zala said, when someone drove up in a light-colored sedan and fired shots before fleeing southbound.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition with gunshot wounds in his arm and thigh, Zala said.

• Around 11 p.m. Friday night, a 36-year-old woman was standing outside an apartment complex on the 11000 block of South Vernon Avenue in Roseland when someone opened fire from a brown van nearby, Zala said.

The woman was taken to Christ Memorial Hospital, Zala said, where she's now in stable condition with a gunshot wound in her right leg.
