UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — Three people are hurt, one critically, after a shooting in University Village early Saturday morning.

At about 2:45 a.m., two 17-year-old boys and a 21-year-old man were standing on the 1000 block of West 14th Street when two men jumped out of a light-colored sedan and started shooting, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

All three were taken to Stroger Hospital, Zala said, where the 21-year-old is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his head.

Both 17-year-olds are in stable condition, Zala said. One was shot in his arm and his leg; the other was shot in his leg.

Police said all three victims are documented gang members.
