MCKINLEY PARK — A man was shot in McKinley Park early Saturday morning, police said.

At about 4:20 a.m., police responded to a call of a person shot on the 2900 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman. There they found a 24-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound in his upper chest, Zala said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he's now in stable condition, Zala said.
