WEST LOOP — An FBI vehicle was broken into early Thursday in the West Loop, but nothing of value was taken, a law enforcement source confirmed.

The incident was reported in the 1000 block of West Adams Street, one block west of Mary Bartelme Park, police said. The FBI is working with the Chicago Police Department to investigate the incident.

While a window was broken, nothing was of value was stolen from the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call 312-421-6700 or Chicago Police.

In July, an FBI vehicle containing firearms and tactical gear was stolen when it was left running in the 300 block of South Morgan Street.

The SUV, a white 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, was stolen around 1 a.m. July 3 when an FBI employee left it for a moment with the engine on, Chicago Police said at the time. A boy got into the car and drove away.

A juvenile was charged with the crime over the summer, but a Cook County judge found him not guilty, the source said.
