WEST LOOP — No need to wait for the circus to come to town to enjoy aerialists and cotton candy: Carnivale is bringing the show to you.

The Latin fusion restaurant, 702 W. Fulton Market, is adding live entertainment to its whimsical dining experience on Fridays in November.

The spectacle includes mermaids and other aerialists dangling from the ceiling on large swaths of ribbon, "parades" of cotton candy and other performers who would look right at home in a Cirque du Soleil show.

"We've had so many one-off special events over the years that people often call and ask, 'When is the show?'" general manager Tim Griffin said. "So now we have an answer. This takes it to another level with really eye- and ear-catching performances."

Guest DJs and musicians will provide live music as customers dine on late-night small plates and craft cocktails. An updated menu includes a wood-grilled rack of lamb and a seafood platter overflowing with oysters, lobster, shrimp and ceviche.

The live entertainment will start at 8:30 p.m. Fridays.
