CHICAGO — Spring break for Chicago Public Schools students is coming up.

Students will be off for spring break from Monday, April 18 until Friday, April 22, according to the CPS school year calendar.

Students will have off Friday, March 25, as one of the school district's mandated three furlough days caused by a budget crunch. School-based employees will have two professional development days (days that students are not in class) converted to furloughs on June 22 and June 23.

There will be no school for students on Friday, April 8, which is listed as a "school improvement day," according to the CPS calendar.
