CHICAGO — Fifteen people have been wounded in shootings since Friday, police said, one of the highest daily total of shootings since summer.

Among those wounded included a 15-year-old boy and girl and a 66-year-old man.

• Most recently, at 5:30 a.m., a man in his 40s was shot during an attempted robbery in Little Village, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

• At 5:15 a.m., a 62-year-old man was shot in Heart of Chicago, Sedevic said. The man was a passenger in a van in the 2100 block of South Oakley Avenue when someone in a gray sedan fired shots, hitting the man in his back. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say whether his injuries were life threatening.

• A 4:10 a.m., a 31-year-old man was shot during a "domestic-related altercation" in Morgan Park, Sedevic said.

• At 3:30 a.m., a 37-year-old man was shot when he got out of his car to look for damage after a minor accident in Austin, Sedevic said.

• Also at 3:30 a.m., a 46-year-old man was shot in the 6300 block of South Hoyne Avenue in West Englewood, Sedevic said. He was hit in his right shoulder and left forearm and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say the extent of his injuries.

• At 3:13 a.m., a 15-year-old girl was standing on a front porch in Englewood when she was shot, Sedevic said.

• At 12:15 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was walking on the sidewalk in Douglas when he was shot, Sedevic said.

• At 10:30 p.m. Friday, a 21-year-old woman was driving through an alley in East Garfield Park when she was shot, Sedevic said. The woman was going east in an alley in the 3100 block of West Monroe Street when she heard shots and felt pain.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a wound in her back, Sedevic said. She was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say the extent of her injuries.

• At 10:10 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Englewood after getting into an argument with a man, Sedevic said. The 18-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Shields Avenue when a man he'd argued with fired at him, hitting him in his right thigh.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, Sedevic said. His condition stabilized, but police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The victim is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 10 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot while riding a bike in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of South Central Park Avenue when someone in a dark-colored sedan fired at him, hitting his lower back.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Sedevic said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 9:30 p.m., a 28-year-old man was sitting in a parked car when he was shot in Auburn Gresham, Sedevic said. The man was in the 8100 block of South Throop Street when a man walked up to the car and fired, hitting the victim in his left arm.

The victim was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say the extent of his injuries.

The victim is a self-admitted gang member, police said.

• At 7 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was outside in the 1500 block of South Pulaski Road when he heard shots, ran and felt pain. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a wound in his shoulder. He was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said, but police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The man is a convicted felon on parole, police said.

• At 6:10 p.m., a 66-year-old man was shot in Morgan Park, Sedevic said.

• At 5:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in New City, Sedevic said. The man was walking in the 4400 block of South Marshfield Avenue when someone fired at him, striking his upper body several times. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 5:40 p.m., a 30-year-old man was shot in Little Village, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for these shootings unless otherwise stated.
