The incident started at an apartment building in the 5900 block of North Kenmore Avenue Friday afternoon.

"I thought there was an explosion. Then I thought, 'Oh my God, my mother,'" the owner said.  

Their injuries Thursday morning were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The driver of a No. 3 King Drive bus avoided hitting the cab during the morning rush hour, police said.

Jason “Mayo” Mayoski died of a heart attack in 2012 at age 37. He left behind a wife and three kids.

The house fire started about 1:40 a.m. Saturday and quickly engulfed two floors in a 3-story building.

The girl was later identified as 2-year-old Jamya Love.

All were in fair-to-serious condition after the fire, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The four-alarm fire affected a warehouse in the 3700 block of South California Avenue.

One man and one firefighter were injured in fires across Chicago on Tuesday.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The firefighter was taken to a hospital for dehydration, the Chicago Fire Department said.
