DOWNTOWN — Eight CTA passengers were hurt when a cab cut in front of their bus and braked suddenly on Michigan Avenue Wednesday morning, police said.

The No. 3 King Drive bus was headed northbound when it was cut off at Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukides said.

The bus driver had to brake quickly to avoid hitting the cab in the 8:40 a.m. mishap, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

Eight passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals, Lukides said.
