CHICAGO — Shootings have killed five people and wounded 14 since Thursday morning, police said.

• At 2:45 a.m., a 25-year-old man was found shot to death in a running car in Chatham.

• At 12:15 a.m., a 27-year-old man was fatally shot in Washington Heights.

• At 11:50 p.m. Thursday, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Roseland.

• At 7:45 p.m. Thursday, a 24-year-old man was gunned down in Ashburn.

• At 12:20 p.m. Thursday, a man in his 20s was slain in a shooting in West Humboldt Park.

In nonfatal shootings:

• At 2:10 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was walking in the 2300 block of East 72nd Street when someone in a passing red car fired shots at him.

The man was shot in his left index finger and he took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

• At 1:40 a.m., a 33-year-old man was shot in Irving Park.

• At 10:50 p.m. Thursday, a 16-year-old boy was shot on the Near West Side.

• At 10 p.m. Thursday, a 20-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was standing in the street in the 5000 block of West Huron Street when a gray car pulled up and someone got out of the car and fired shots.

The man was shot in his right leg and taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 9:45 p.m. Thursday, a 28-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was riding a bike in the 4200 block of West Cermak Road when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 9:15 p.m. Thursday, a 22-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, police said. The man was standing in the street in the 5200 block of South Damen Avenue when several people in a passing car fired shots.

The man was shot in his stomach and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, a 35-year-old man was shot in Burnside, police said. The man was walking in the 900 block of East 90th Street when a red car drove up and someone inside fired shots.

The man was shot in his buttocks and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.

• At 8:11 p.m. Thursday, a 44-year-old woman and 37-year-old woman were shot in North Lawndale, police said. The 44-year-old woman was on a porch in the 3000 block of West Lexington when a car drove up and someone inside fired shots.

The older woman was shot in her head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The 37-year-old woman who had been shot in her foot took herself to St. Anthony Hospital, police said. Her condition was not immediately available.

• At 7:33 p.m. Thursday, a 21-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The man was walking in the 7900 block of South Loomis Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

He had been shot in his right foot and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 6:40 p.m. Thursday, a 50-year-old man was shot in Woodlawn, police said. The man got into a fight with someone in the 2000 block of East 67th Street and the other person took out a gun and fired shots.

The man was hit multiple times throughout his body and was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 5:08 p.m. Thursday, a 41-year-old man was shot in Little Village.

• At 8:49 a.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old man was in the 6700 block of South Stony Island Avenue in South Shore when he was shot in his abdomen and face. 

The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 8:18 a.m., a 23-year-old man was in the 8800 block of South Loomis Street in Auburn Gresham when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was hit in his left foot and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody in any of the shootings.
