CHICAGO — Five people have been shot to death and 16 others wounded since Wednesday, police said. 

• At 12:08 a.m. Thursday, a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman were killed in a shooting in South Shore. Two women were critically wounded.

• At 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, a 24-year-old man was found shot to death in Marquette Park.

• At 7:21 p.m., a man was shot and killed in Garfield Park.

• At 7:02 p.m., officers found a 27-year-old man shot dead in Grand Crossing.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 1:20 a.m. Thursday, a 30-year-old man was shot and wounded while standing outside in Dunning.

• At 12:20 a.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in Marquette Park, police said. The man was walking in the 6300 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when two men fired shots at him.

The man ran away but was hit in his right arm and buttocks. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The shooters ran away, police said.

• At 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, a 24-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham.

• At 10:15 p.m., a 15-year-old boy was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The boy was in the 7000 block of South Kenneth when he was shot multiple times.

Officers responding to the shooting learned the boy had been taken to Mount Sinai Hospital by someone and was in critical condition, police said.

The boy was a documented gang member, police said.

• Also at 10:15 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Englewood.

• At 8:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in West Pullman, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was walking in the 11900 block of South Stewart Avenue when he heard shots and realized he'd been hit.

The man was hit in his left arm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Pacheco said.

• At 8:30 p.m., a 36-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in Auburn Gresham.

• At 6:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was standing in an alley in the 5500 block of West North Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his buttocks and was taken to Loyola Hospital in good condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 4:28 p.m., two teens were shot and wounded in Little Village.

• At 2:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The man was sitting in front of a home in the 4700 block of West Van Buren Street when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was hit in his left ear and took himself to Loretto Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 2:26 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was sitting in front of a home in North Lawndale when she was shot.

• At 1:54 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot and wounded in Austin.

• At 11:58 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in his legs in Garfield Park. 

No one was in custody unless otherwise noted.
