CHICAGO — A 36-year-old woman was wounded in a North Lawndale shooting Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The woman was sitting in the front of a house in the 1500 block of South Komensky Avenue when at 2:26 p.m. shots rang out, police said. At the same time, a car drove down the block, but it is unclear if it was connected to the shooting, police said.

She was shot in her left leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

No arrests have been made.
