Little Village Shooting Wounds 2 Teens, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two teens were wounded in a shooting in Little Village, police said.

At 4:28 p.m., the two were standing on the sidewalk in the 3000 block of South Avers Avenue when two men walked up to them from a gangway and fired shots, police said.

A 17-year-old was hit in his ankle and was taken to Stroger Hospital and a 16-year-old was hit in his stomach and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. Their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

The shooters ran away, police said.
