CHICAGO — A 17-year-old was shot in Austin Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The teen was walking southbound in the 5200 block of West West End Avenue at 1:54 p.m. when an SUV drove by and someone inside began firing, police said.
He was struck in his right thigh and was able to get himself to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.
No arrests have been made.
