CHICAGO — Gun violence has wounded 17 people on the city's South and West sides since Thursday morning, according to police.

• Most recently, a 16-year-old boy was injured in an Englewood drive-by late Thursday, police said.

• Three people were shot in Greater Grand Crossing Thursday night, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The victims include a 21-year-old woman, and 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, she said.

The group was in a car in the 7600 block of South South Chicago Avenue at 10:43 p.m. when another car pulled up and somebody inside opened fire, Pacheco said.

The woman was grazed by a bullet in her arm and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in "stable" condition. Police could not provide more information about her condition.

The 27-year-old was shot in his chest and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. The 23-year-old was struck in the back of his neck and was also taken to Northwestern in critical condition, Pacheco said.

• A 23-year-old was shot in Washington Heights Thursday night, Pacheco said.

The man was in a parked car in the 9700 block of South Sangamon Street when someone in a black car opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his neck and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, she said.

• A 25-year-old man was wounded in a Woodlawn shooting Thursday night, Pacheco said.

He was on a rear porch in the 1500 block of East 66th Place at 9:40 p.m. when shots rang out, Pacheco said. The man was struck in his right leg and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, she said. Police did not have the man's condition but said he was stable.

• A 16-year-old boy was shot in Chatham at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, police said.

• An 18-year-old man was wounded in an Austin shooting Thursday night, Pacheco said.

The man was on the sidewalk in th 5100 block of West West End Avenue at 8:25 p.m. when "several" men walked up and opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his right calf and was taken to West Suburban Hospital. Police did not have his condition but said the man was stable.

• A half hour before that, a 53-year-old man was shot in Austin, Pacheco said.

The man was in the 1600 block of North Luna Avenue at 8:15 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, Pacheco said. He was struck in his abdomen and was brought to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said.

• A 24-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were wounded in a Chicago Lawn shooting Thursday evening, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

They were walking into a home in the 1300 block of West 75th Street at 6 p.m. when someone inside a passing, light-colored van opened fire, Tannehill said.

The 24-year-old was struck in his buttocks and arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said. The 30-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Tannehill said. Police did not have his condition.

• A 36-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards Thursday evening, Tannehill said.

The man was in the 1300 block of West 51st Street at 5:38 p.m. when shots rang out, Tannehill said. He was struck in his left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital. Police did not have his condition but said he was stable.

• A 20-year-old man was shot in Armour Square Thursday evening, Police said.

A 23-year-old man was wounded in a Belmont Cragin shooting Thursday afternoon, Tannehill said.

The man was in front of a house in the 5500 block of West Parker Avenue at 3:15 p.m. when two people on bikes approached and took a gun out of a bookbag before firing, Tannehill said. He was grazed in his right wrist and refused medical attention at the scene, she said.

• A 19-year-old and a 17-year-old were shot in Little Village Thursday afternoon, police said.

• Thursday's first shooting was at 8:40 a.m. in Austin, where a 45-year-old man was shot, police said.
