CHICAGO — Shootings left a man dead and 14 other people hurt on the South and West Sides between Saturday and Sunday mornings, police said.

The man, 32, was found unresponsive in North Lawndale early Sunday with a gunshot wound in his head, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Five separate shootings left seven men wounded in the Englewood neighborhood Saturday and early Sunday, police said.

Two men were shot in their legs in West Town early Sunday morning, Estrada said.

A 13-year-old boy was shot in the Grand Crossing neighborhood Saturday night, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Shootings in the Woodlawn neighborhood left a man and a woman wounded, police said.

Around 12:35 a.m. Sunday morning, a 26-year-old man was sitting in the back seat of a car in the 5000 block of West Monroe Street in Austin when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

A friend drove the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where he was treated for a gunshot wound in his right wrist. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

Earlier, around 6 p.m. Saturday evening, a 22-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of West Grenshaw Street in North Lawndale when two men walked up and shot at him, Alfaro said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound in his chest, Alfaro said.

Around 11:20 a.m. Saturday morning, Alfaro said, a 30-year-old man was standing in the 2000 block of East 72nd Street in the South Shore neighborhood when someone shot at him from a passing white SUV.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was "stable," Alfaro said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
