Man Found Shot To Death In North Lawndale, Police Say

NORTH LAWNDALE — A 32-year-old man was found shot to death in North Lawndale early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 1:25 a.m., officers found the man lying in the middle of the street in the 1200 block of South Central Park Avenue with a gunshot wound in his head, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, Estrada said.

The man was identified as Fredrick Lee Blount, 32, of the 3300 block of West Monroe, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Blount was pronounced at 1:45 a.m.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
