ENGLEWOOD — Five separate shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning wounded seven men in Englewood, police said.

Most recently, around 4:20 a.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Aberdeen Street when someone shot at him out of a passing dark-colored sedan, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with gunshot wounds in his back and his right foot, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

Minutes earlier, Estrada said, a 24-year-old man was shot about a mile-and-a-half away, in the 200 block of West Marquette Road.

He was sitting in a car when someone pulled up alongside him in a gray sedan and shot at him before fleeing, Estrada said.

The man drove himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds in his right shoulder, Estrada said.

Around 10:15 p.m. Saturday night, a 38-year-old man was standing on a front porch in the 6900 block of South Damen Avenue when someone shot at him out of a passing dark-colored sedan, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in both his arms but refused medical attention on scene, Alfaro said.

At 3:05 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Alfaro said, two men were standing in the 6700 block of South Normal Avenue when someone shot at them out of a nearby sedan.

One man, 22, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his leg, Alfaro said.

The other man, 20, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his back and a graze wound in his arm, Alfaro said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, two men were standing in the 6100 block of South Bishop Street when a white SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Alfaro said.

A 27-year-old man was shot in his thigh, Alfaro said, and a 23-year-old man was shot in his right ankle. Both men were brought to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were "stable," Alfaro said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
