GREATER GRAND CROSSING — A 13-year-old boy was shot in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood Saturday night, police said.

Around 8 p.m., the boy was crossing the street in the 7300 block of South University Avenue when three men approached him and at least one shot at him, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital with gunshot wounds in both his legs, Alfaro said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, police said.
