CHICAGO — Two people have been killed and another seven have been wounded in shootings since Tuesday morning, police said.
Most recently, a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in Humboldt Park around 2:10 a.m., according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, a man was killed in South Shore just blocks from another fatal shooting hours earlier, police said.
The most recent nonfatal shooting occurred in Garfield Park at 11:28 p.m. An 18-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of West Washington Boulevard when he heard shot and felt a pain in his right shoulder, Estrada said.
The man walked into Rush Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Estrada said.
Around 10:35 p.m., a 63-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Washington Heights.
About an hour earlier, two men were left in serious condition after a shooting in Englewood.
A 43-year-old woman was sitting in her car in the 4300 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue in Bronzeville when a man walked up and opened fire around 9:25 p.m., Estrada said.
The woman was grazed in her neck. She was taken to Mercy Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, Estrada said.
In Chicago Lawn, a 20-year-old man was shot in his arm while walking in the 2400 block of West Marquette Road at 6:30 p.m. The man was taken to Christ Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Estrada said.
Around 1 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in South Shore. The incident marked the sixth shooting in the South Side neighborhood since 5:30 p.m. Monday.
No one is in custody for any of the shootings, Estrada said.
