CHICAGO — A 63-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Washington Heights Tuesday night, police said,

Around 10:35 p.m., two men approached the man in the 9400 block of South Racine Avenue and began rifling through his pockets, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

When the man fought back he was shot in his right leg and hip, Estrada said. He was taken to Christ Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
