SOUTHPORT — Everyone's favorite maid of dishonor is coming to Lakeview.

Kristen Wiig, known for her roles in "Bridesmaids" and "Saturday Night Live," will host a Q&A at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., for the theater's opening weekend of "Nasty Baby," Oct. 30-31.

In "Nasty Baby," Wiig plays Polly, a Brooklyn hipster helping her friends, a gay couple named Freddy and Mo, have a baby. As the trio struggles to navigate the complex path of surrogacy, a menacing local known as The Bishop harasses them, taking the movie on a dark turn.

The movie is among several smaller projects Wiig took on ahead of the 2016 "Ghostbusters," which also stars fellow "Bridesmaids" alum Melissa McCarthy and "SNL" cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

Recently, Music Box Theatre screened Wiig's 2014 "Welcome to Me," in which she won the lottery and immediately paid for her own talk show. This summer, she was part of an all-star cast in the "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp" Netflix series and appeared alongside Will Ferrell in Lifetime's "A Deadly Adoption."

The movie, directed by Sebastián Silva, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is set for limited release in late October. Declared a "subversive delight" by one critic, "Nasty Baby" was initially rejected from the Toronto Film Festival for its jarring ending.

If you're already texting your parents with a cry of, "Help me, I'm poor," good news: Tickets are just $18. "Nasty Baby" will show at 8 p.m. on Oct. 30 and 31.
