DOWNTOWN — It'll be a chilly celebration for those celebrating St. Patrick's Day in the city this weekend.

You'll want to bring a coat to the Downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade, which kicks off at noon Saturday. The high temperature that day will be about 29-30 degrees, said Ben Deubelbeiss, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

Sunday — when the South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade takes off — won't be much better, with high temperatures expected to hit the mid-30s, Deubelbeiss said.

The weekend will see a "mix of sun and clouds," Deubelbeiss said, but there's little chance of rain and Saturday and Sunday should be "primarily dry."

The weekend is expected to be chillier than normal, as the city usually sees highs in the low 40s, Deubelbeiss said.

St. Patrick's Day is March 17.
