CHICAGO — Two people are dead and at least 16 others wounded since Friday afternoon, police said.

A man was fatally shot twice by police after pointing a gun at officers in South Shore.

One man is dead and another wounded after a shooting Friday night in Humboldt Park.

Another man was seriously injured early Saturday in a separate Humboldt Park shooting.

In Irving Park, a man was shot while walking in the 3900 block of West Addison Street.

A 33-year-old man crashed his car after being shot on the Near West Side.

• In the most recent, non-fatal shooting, around 6:35 a.m. in Humboldt Park, a 25-year-old man walked into Norwegian American Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was in good condition and was expected to be treated and released, Cooper said.

The man told investigators he was standing in the 3300 block of West Le Moyne Street when he heard shots and felt pain, Cooper said.

• Around 12:45 a.m. in North Lawndale, a 28-year-old man was walking in the 1500 block of South Central Park Avenue when a vehicle pulled up and fired shots, striking the man multiple times, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

According to police, the man is a documented gang member.

No other information was available, and police are investigating.

• In Avondale around 11:50 p.m. Friday night, a 22-year-old man was shot multiple times after pointing a gun at 47-year-old man in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where his condition had stabilized.

• In Austin at 10:10 p.m., a 16-year-old was walking outside in the 4900 block of West Ohio Street, when a man walked up and fired shots, striking the boy in his buttocks, Sedevic said.

He was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

• In Washington Park at 9 p.m., a group of people was standing outside in the 9300 block of South Eggleston Avenue, when a light-colored sedan pulled up and fired shots, Sedevic said.

A 22-year-old man was shot in his arm and hip, a 23-year-old woman was shot in her leg and a 24-year-old man was shot in his arm, Sedevic said.

The two men drove themselves to Advocate Christ Medical Center where their conditions had stabilized. The woman drove herself to Little Company of Mary Hospital where her condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

According to police, the 22-year-old man is a documented gang member.

• At 5:50 p.m. in West Pullman, two men, ages 18 and 19,  were standing outside in the 400 block of West 118th Street, when an unknown man walked up and fired shots. The 18-year-old was shot in his back and the 19-year-old was shot in his leg. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where their conditions had stabilized, Sedevic said.

• In New City at 4:30 p.m. a 30-year-old man was in the 5400 block of South Laflin Street, when he was shot in the right arm. He was taken to John H. Stroger where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

According to police, the victim is a documented gang member.

• In Roseland at 12:25 p.m. a 27-year-old was driving in the 500 block of West 104th Street when he heard shots and felt pain. He was shot in his back and drove himself to Roseland Community Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

• In Woodlawn around 11:55 a.m., a 19-year-old man was in the 6400 block of South Eberhart Avenue when a passing vehicle fired shots, striking him in his right leg, Sedevic said.

He was uncooperative with investigators and refused medical attention, Sedevic said.
