CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was seriously wounded after being shot in Humboldt Park early Saturday, police said.

Around 4:20 a.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of North Homan Avenue and a white vehicle drove up and fired two to three rounds, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his abdomen and buttocks and taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in serious condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
