After recent Uptown shootings, officers are looking for help in identifying gang and drug activity.
Deonte Hoard, 17, was fatally shot in his chest on the Far South Side Monday, police said.

The boy was walking near 101st Street and Lafayette Avenue when he was shot, police said.
The 28-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
Staff for Ald. Cappleman — who went to the scene after the shooting — said the incidents may be related.
He was also seen in an alley near an apartment that has a history of criminal activity, Cappleman said.
Two teens were shot in the 4700 block of South Loomis on Sunday morning.
Before two men were shot, police say the suspect shouted gang slogans at the victims.
