CHICAGO — Two men were shot overnight  including one in the groin  during what Chicago police say was likely a gang-related incident.

Around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday the victims, a 36-year-old man and a 54-year-old man, were approached in an alley near the 2400 block of South Troy Street by another unknown man, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The unknown suspect exited a green SUV-type vehicle before shouting gang slogans at the two victims and opening fire, Estrada said.

The 36-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right foot and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police did not know of his condition, but said it had stabilized.

The 54-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the groin and was also taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where police say he is listed in serious condition.

No one is currently in custody. The incident is currently under investigation by Area Central detectives.
