A Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy meeting for the Shakespeare District will be held Dec. 4.

A local business group is partnering with Chicago Police to offer two workshops. 

Olympia Park r esidents can attend the 8 p.m. meeting Tuesday at 6566 N. Avondale Ave.  

The meeting for Beat 1211 starts at 7 p.m. at 1044 N. Francisco St.

The meeting for Beat 1431 starts at 7 p.m. at 2402 N. Washtenaw Ave.

The meeting for Beat 1423 starts at 7 p.m. at 1343 N. California Ave.

Police and neighbors are coming together to support children affected by domestic abuse.

Neighbors can discuss local crime issues with the officers who patrol their neighborhood streets.

The meetings are a forum to discuss recent crime and other public safety concerns.

Community policing meetings are set for the Far Northwest Side in November.
