Edgebrook Elementary School

The market will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Edgebrook Elementary School, 6535 N. Hiawatha Ave.

The school's Local School Council will meet next Wednesday to begin discussing his replacement, he said.

The sixth-annual fest will take place from 7-11 p.m. Saturday at Hiawatha and Legett avenues.

The ice cream parlor has been a fixture in Edgebrook for nearly 50 years.

The market will take place in the parking lot of Edgebrook Elementary School.

The proceeds from the event will supplement the school's budget, organizers said.

A letter, signed by 27 Edgebrook teachers, was sent to parents Tuesday.

Principal Chad Weiden warned parents that next year could be a different story.

Edgebrook Elementary School has earned a Level One-Plus rating, the highest a school can achieve.

Chad Weiden is one of 28 principals who will get a break from paperwork as part of a new program.

The school will have one fewer teacher because of budget cuts, Principal Ched Weiden said.

The theme of the Edgebrook 4th of July parade is Building Community – Discover The Connection.

Rozy Patel, an Edgebrook science teacher, won the Golden Apple award in May.

The awards honor teachers in fourth through eighth grades for excellence in the classroom.
