CHICAGO — The Edgebrook Farmers Market will open its 2017 season at 9 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Edgebrook Elementary School, 6535 N. Hiawatha Ave.

On top of fresh produce from growers like Compeon and Sons, Klug Orchards and Twin Gardens, shoppers will be able to pick up confections from Chicago Marshmallow and Fannie's Cafe.

Meanwhile, Magic Circle Crepes and Tamales Express will offer hot food on site.

A different nonprofit organization will be featured at the market each week, starting with the Edgebrook Woman's Club on Saturday.

The market will return from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday, except July 15, until its last day on Sept. 30.
