Alisa Hauser

Reporter/Producer @DNA_wpb Contact

Alisa Hauser moved to Wicker Park in 2005 after living in Logan Square, Old Irving Park and Uptown. From 2009 until joining DNAinfo Chicago, and with the help of a core team, she ran an independent neighborhood blog, chicago-pipeline.

Though Alisa did not study journalism at Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio, she could not resist sending letters to the editor of the school newspaper. The habit landed her a four-year stint writing columns and features for the 'townie' newspaper, The Athens News. Alisa's byline has also appeared in the Lockport-Lemont Sun, Chicago Reader, Chicago Journal and other publications.

Fun fact: Alisa will never pass up a game of Words with Friends.
