WICKER PARK — The best of Division Street's Pub Royale and Damen Avenue's Urban Belly will combine into "Urban Royale" on Thursday night, for an end of summer party.
This includes Urban Belly's frozen and frothy Kirin beer mugs and rice noodles and Pub Royale's hot chicken with chili chutney and Pimm's Cups.
The collaboration between Urban Belly chef Bill Kim and Pub Royale chef Joanna Stachon is set for 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday at Urban Belly, 1542 N. Damen Ave.
Billed in a news release as an "easygoing end of summer celebration" complete with Jello shots, the event will also offer entertainment by DJ Juan.
The menu, served family style, includes a rice noodle bar with a special collaboration broth by Kim and Stachon and an array of toppings: kimchi salsa, cilantro chutney, lamb siam, house made curry oil and hominy.
Stachon will be making Pub Royale's hot chicken with chili chutney, as well as a samosa potato salad and paneer curry fried rice with pea shoots.
Beverages include Urban Royale Pimm's Cup, Jello shots and frozen Kirin beer.
Tickets cost $40 before tax and gratuity, and include all the food patrons can eat — plus two cocktails. Buy tickets online or at the door, if any remain.
