CHICAGO — Shootings over the weekend killed five people and wounded 31 others, police said.

Of those victims, one was killed and five wounded in shootings since Sunday.

• At 8:03 p.m. Sunday, a 22-year-old man was found fatally shot in Roseland.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 12:10 a.m. Monday, a 23-year-old man was standing outside in Irving Park when he was shot.

• At 11:40 p.m. Sunday, a 24-year-old man was shot in West Humboldt Park while getting out of a car.

• At 8:10 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in South Deering, police said. The man was a passenger in a car in the 9500 block of South Jeffery Avenue when someone walked up to the car and fired shots.

The 21-year-old was hit in his arm, leg and foot and a friend drove him to Trinity Hospital. He was later transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

There is evidence someone in the car might have fired back at the gunman, a police source said, but no arrests have been made.

• At 3:36 p.m., a 16-year-old boy and 29-year-old man were shot in North Lawndale, police said. The two were standing on the corner in the 3400 block of West 16th Street when someone in a red Chevy drove by and people in the car fired shots.

The boy was hit in his left hand and left leg and the man was hit twice in his buttocks. They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings unless otherwise noted.

Shootings killed three people and wounded 19 between Saturday and Sunday, and one person was killed and seven others wounded in shootings Friday to Saturday.
